Development of rural homestay should be eventually integrated with the development of rural communities. The first homestay cluster in northern China——“He Su·Yanqing Yaoguanling” is located in Yaoguanling village，Liubinbao township，Yanqing district，Beijing. Because of this project，Yaoguanling village was selected as the first batch of National Key Rural Tourism Villages on July 2019. This paper thoroughly investigates the overall situation of Yaoguanling village and “He Su·Yanqing Yaoguanling” homestay cluster；explores the main practices of this project，responsibility of each stakeholders and the mechanism to guarantee farmers’ interests；summarizes four main achievements as activating village，booming industries，enriching farmers，integrating urban and rural areas；and analyzes the success experience from the perspectives of good timing，geographical convenience and harmonious human relations. This paper proposes that any successful homestay must be in line with the trend of ecological civilization，the goals and tasks of rural revitalization，the market demand for consumption upgrading，the interests of farmers，the desire of enterprises for group development，and also the working priorities of government. Only in this way can make homestay-economy become a powerful starting point for the revitalization of rural industries.
