As an advanced form of early B&B model，Tourist BNB is also viewed as the upgraded version of rural tourism. In the context of rural revitalization，rural Tourist BNB has become the carrier or platform of rural tourism and economic development. Having undergone numerous iterating and upgrading，Tourist BNB has gradually become a popular form of sojourning，or even the end of traveling in itself，which reflects the driving force of artistic design on the consumption behavior and the development of BNB industry. The profit source of the BNB industry is similar to that of all other industries，which lies in the creation of exchange value. Through originality and creativity，artistic design integrates function，emotion and social utility，so as to create the use value to satisfy the lodging guests’ experience，reinforce the possibility of exchange value，and finally realize the growth of the BNB industry. Based on the analysis of the development process and current situation of China’s tourist BNB，this thesis extracts the internal logic of the style orientations，categorizations and functions of Tourist BNB design，aiming to analyze the shaping of its competitiveness，viability or profitability from the perspective of artistic design，in order that a reference path for the development of Tourist BNB can be provided.
