China’s colleges and universities adopt a series of measures and useful explorations，such as adding courses on environmental protection and ecological civilization education in the curriculum teaching system，popularizing ecological civilization knowledge，enhancing students’ awareness of ecological civilization，and carrying out practical education activities on the theme of ecological civilization education. Incorporating the concept and practice of sustainable development into various fields of talent cultivation，scientific research，social service，cultural heritage innovation and international cooperation. According to the status quo of China’s ecological civilization education practice，the report proposes the innovation of higher education based on green development and returns to education.
