The investigation of the development status of characteristic towns is beneficial to promoting the healthy and orderly development of characteristic towns，promoting the practice of “village revitalization strategy” and promoting the innovation and development of rural civilization. At present，there are still some limitations and gaps in the investigation of characteristic towns. Through the combing of the basic experience and problems in the construction of “Jinglv Characteristic Town” in Caidian District of Wuhan，not only can the uniqueness of the characteristic towns be summarized，the experience can also provide valuable reference for the overall development of the characteristic town. From the perspective of successful experience，“Jinglv Characteristic Town” has a sound infrastructure and an orderly operation，keeps up with the times and develops the brand effect. However，there are problems in the development of this characteristic town such as lack of unique features，inadequate resource clustering，and harm of native land. This report consists of two parts and provides suggestions from the perspective of the authorities and businessmen，concerning the enhancement of transportation，infrastructure and brand promotion.
