This report mainly reviewed Indonesia’s political，economical，social and cultural condition as well as its relationship with China during 2018. In political field，local election，which is seen to be forecast of general election in 2019，was finished. Meanwhile，the warm-up of general election has started. Social media and identity politics are two noticeable factors in these events. In economic area，Indonesia witnessed slow but steady progress. Nevertheless，influenced by depressed global market，there were considerable trade deficit and currency devaluation. For economic policy，Indonesia put forward “Making Indonesia 4.0” plan and continue its infrastructure construction and improvement of investment environment. As to social and cultural fields，the 18th Asian Games was held successfully in Indonesia，which provided great platform to its economic growth and public diplomacy. In addition，Indonesia put more strength on anti-terrorism. Related law has been revised and military is allowed to participate in certain conditions. During 2018，the relationship between Indonesia and China went well in areas of political security，economy and trade and social and cultural communication. In 2019，Indonesia will face its general election，the result of which may decide whether Indonesia will continue its way of diversity.
