Employment is the biggest livelihood of the people. Promotingemployment of the disabled and safeguarding their rights to work are importantindicators to measure the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects. Based on the analysis of the current situation of the employment of the disabled in the world and in China，this paper puts forward some problems in the employment of the disabled in China，such as the contradiction of employment structure，the accuracy of employment services，employment discrimination and the psychological factors of the disabled. At the same time，we sorted out China’s policies to promote the employment of the disabled in accordance with the time series since the founding of the People’s Republic of China，and summarized and analyzed the innovative approaches to promote the employment of the disabled in China from the three aspects of labor supply，demand and supply and demand matching.
