The report reviews the development of social sciences in Zhengzhou since 2017，and summarizes the practices and experiences of social science work. Noticeable achievements were made，especially in areas such as the promotion and implementation of the party’s line，principles and policies，research on strengthening measures for solving practical problems，and the popularization of social sciences. It analyzes the problems and shortcomings in the development of social sciences in Zhengzhou. It is necessary to continuously promote the high-quality development of social sciences in Zhengzhou by strengthening the research on the major issues of reform and development，reinforcing the establishment of new think tanks，providing talents for the development of social sciences and advancing the popularization of social sciences.
