Educational excursion is a series of off campus educational activities including collective excursion and collective accommodation. It is a combination of educational research and excursion experiences. Luoyang’s educational excursion resources are very rich，which can be divided into six topics：1. Luohe River is the root of civilization；2. Luoyang was the capital for various dynasties in the early days of China；3. Luoyang is a city full of literary talents；4. Luoyang is a city full of scientific and technological innovation；5. Luoyang is a city of rich beautiful natural scenery；6. Luoyang has rich intangible cultural heritage and gifted craftsmen. Based on these resources，various travel agencies，cultural attractions，study bases，primary schools and high schools are actively organized and participated in educational excursion. The results of these activities are good，but there are some problems need to be solved. The high road for Luoyang’s educational excursion is to efficiently combined schools，cultural attractions and travel agencies；travel agencies should improve their services；the society’s understandings of educational excursion need to be improved.
