Shenzhen Society for Rehabilitation Yee Hong Heights for the Disabled is funded by overseas trusts and operated by Hong Kong welfare agencies. The Yee Hong Heights operates in the philosophy of Hong Kong people and provides services to Hong Kong people in local areas by local employees. It is a successful example of the cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong in the construction of rehabilitation institutions for the disabled. The Yee Hong Heights has overcome the cross-border bottleneck problems of funds，talents，and medical insurance. In spite of the challenges of policy and cultural differences between these two places in their cooperation，the “Yee Hong Model” has provided replicable and referenceable experiences for the construction of welfare institutions in terms of operation，talent utilization，cross-border medical treatment，and portability of welfare.
