Since 2018，the political position and the overall situation consciousness of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s S&T innovation work have been improved，and the high standard design has promoted the construction of the Greater Bay Area；the reform of S&T system is constantly deepening and developing，and the cooperative mechanism of S&T innovation in the Greater Bay Area is constantly improved；the original innovation ability has been further improved，and major S&T platforms have made major breakthroughs；“mass entrepreneurship and innovation” has flourished，with high-tech enterprises and strategic emerging industrial clusters having a sustained lead；the environment of innovation development is constantly optimized and perfected，and the vitality of innovation can be stimulated in an all-round way. At the same time，Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area’s coordinated development of S&T innovation still faces a series of practical problems that need to be solved.
