As China’s economic development enters a new stage，the new situation demands new mode for China’s development. The central government continues to unswervingly deepen reforms and expand openness，among which accelerating the implementation of the Free Trade Zone is an important strategy of China’s new round of opening up. On August 6，2019，the central government proposed the Lingang New Area of the China （Shanghai） Pilot Free Trade Zone and nearly two-thirds of the area of Fengxian was included in that New Area of Free Trade Zone. Subsequently，the Shanghai Municipal Government issued the “Linggang 50 Articles” to promote the high-quality development and the Lingang New Area of Free Trade Zone Management Committee issued the “1+4” industry policy to promote industrial development of the special place. A series of policies have released many dividends in the construction of new areas of the Free Trade Zone，especially industrial development. On the basis that the existing industries are mainly traditional manufacturing and the new momentum of economic development is slightly insufficient，Fengxian actively makes use of the new district policy and proposes a plan to build a “future space” in South Shanghai，taking the advantage of institutional innovation，focusing on industrial development，targeting international development and serving the “Yangtze River Delta” region. Focusing on industrial development，Fengxian should explore the spatial layout and development plan in advance，what’s more，explore how to exert policy advantages in the development of “future space” industry in cultivating the industrial ecology，reserving space for industrial development，and accurately attract investment for the industrial layout，and in the future，find a new engine for the regional economy after the “Oriental Beauty Valley”.
