Guangdong higher education has made great progress since the reform and opening up policy was implemented，and has become one of the largest provinces in the scale of higher education in China. Guangdong must seize a series of important historical opportunities in the new era，accelerate the structural optimization of the supply side of higher education from multiple perspectives，in order to create a new high ground for educational development in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. In the new stage of development from the popularization of higher education to the universal higher education，the historical transformation from a large province of higher education to a strong province of higher education will be realized.
