Under the Research Center for Yangtze River Economic Belt Development of the Counselors’ Office of the State Council，Cheng Changchun，the joint research team，led by Cheng Changchun，Counselor of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and comprised of experts from the Institute of National Modernization at Tongji University，carried out month-long surveys in Jiangsu，Shanghai，Chongqing and Beijing. Through on-site interview，literature review，and field investigation，the research team analyzed and evaluated the current situation of coordinated development of high-tech industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt，and summarized the positive results achieved by the coordinated development of high-tech industries along the Yangtze River.
