On 5th July 2018，“1+1” the Chinese Legal Aid Volunteer Action is beginning its tenth year at Great Hall of People. The topic of the 2018 action is poverty alleviation. 140 lawyer volunteers，98 college student volunteers and local legal service providers were dispatched to the most needed areas in central and western regions，which includes 140 counties in 15 provinces. They are operating the legal aid services there in order to contribute to the local legal construction. Ever since the beginning of “1+1” the Chinese Legal Aid Volunteer Action，volunteers are taking an active role in taking the legal aid cases，providing the poor free and high-quality legal representations，safeguarding the social harmony and stability，promoting judicial justice，achieving the goal of “equality before the law”.
