In order to promoting the rule of law comprehensively，the governments at all levels are making their full efforts in improving legal aid system，expanding the beneficiary scope and enhancing the quality of the legal aid service. Until the end of 2018，the number of legal aid stations based on people’s court are increasing rapidly，the number of criminal legal aid cases are also rising fast，which reflects the effective implementation of the “Opinions on the Provision of Legal Aid by Lawyers”. In respect of the legal aid coverage，the local authorities have expanded the civil and administrative legal aid coverage according to the “Regulation on Legal Aid”. In order to present the whole picture of the legal aid work done in 2018，The Legal Aid Bureau of Public Legal Service Authority of Ministry of Justice present this statistical analysis report on national legal aid work with an aim of analysing the problems existed and provide guidance for the work next year.
