2017 is a critical year for the development of media convergence in Tianjin. To adapt to the media development in the new era，Tianjin Municipal Committee of the CPC has made an important strategic plan to further promote the key projects of media convergence and to establish a “Jinyun” central kitchen，which integrates quality resources of mainstream media in Tianjin，such as Tianjin Daily，China Tianjin Radio and TV，Tonight News Paper，Enorth and Branch Life News Publishing House，which relies on the technological advantages of the Enorth New Media Group and the experience of network media operation，and reconstructs the business process，thus realizing the all-media integration of radio，television，newspapers and the Internet. It is the first provincial-level central kitchen in China to achieve all-media integration. In the practice of “Jinyun” central kitchen，a number of high-quality media content emerged，expanding the influence of new media. Tianjin media dare to reform drastically and its media convergence has entered a substantial stage，and there is still a long way to go in the future. Only by adhering to the support of advanced technology，taking content construction as the foundation，relying on the optimization of communication concepts，and upgrading communication capabilities as the basis can we take the big step forward in media convergence.
