Based on the national survey data collected in 2019 by China’s Social Situation （CSS） and the three survey data from 2013 to 2017，this report analyzes the residents’ attitude and characteristics about 14 social issues，including economic life，public service，social environment and social justice，as well as the changes in the period and generation. It is found that the difficulty and high cost of medical treatment are the major social problems，followed by the problems of the gap between the rich and the poor，high housing prices and rising prices. The post-90s’ residents are dissatisfied with the gap between the rich and the poor and worried about unemployment.
