In 2019，under the background of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China，the anti-terrorism situation in China was in positive trend，and there was no violent terrorist incident that seriously affected the social security. But the violent conflict in Hong Kong seriously affected the social security and stability. The criminal cases and public security cases filed and accepted by the public security institutions are all on the trend of decline. The homicide，injury and robbery cases closely related to the people’s personal safety and the crimes of disturbing the order which related to the social public order are gradually decreasing，which ensures the overall safety and order of the society. The number of cases of prostitution and gang violence is on the rise. At present，China’s social security is still facing several problems in some areas，such as the gang violence，economic crimes，network crimes，fraud crimes，food safety related crimes，and tax related crimes. It is suggested that we should strengthen our political position，continue to deepen the fight against crime，give full function to the mechanism of social cooperation，and further promote the construction of big data for public security. Meanwhile，it is important to build a multi-level fraud prevention and control system，and coordinate operations to effectively guarantee the food safety. Also，it is critical to strengthen all perspective investigation and social control，and improve the level of social security prevention and control.
