China is in the process of rapid development of economy and society in terms of industrialization，informationization，urbanization and agricultural modernization，which exerts tremendous pressure on the natural ecosystem and severe challenges of coordinating population，economic development，resources and environment protection. China has designated the protection and restoration of ecosystems an important task in order to achieve high-quality development，to build a well-off society and a beautiful China，and ultimately to realize the nation’s sustainable development. This report analyzes the problems and situations of ecological protection and restoration in China. Suggestions of improving relevant laws and regulations，implementing ecological protection and restoration projects，increasing ecological protection and restoration investment，promoting ecological compensation，improving the national park management mechanism，etc.，are proposed.
