The talents of TCM （traditional Chinese medicine） are the foundation and guarantee of the development of traditional Chinese medicine，and also the first resource of the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine cause. DongCheng District is one of the first experimental areas for the comprehensive reform of the development of traditional Chinese medicine. In the past ten years，remarkable achievements have been made in the development of TCM talents. With the continuous promotion and optimization of the training of TCM talents，a large number of top TCM professionals and technical talents emerged. For example，Professor Tu Youyou，the outstanding talents of Dongcheng District，Nobel Prize winner，and the winner of the highest national science and technology award，Professor Chai Songyan，Professor Lv Renhe and Professor Sun Guangrong，the national masters of traditional Chinese medicine，Professor Wang Yongyan，Professor Huang Luqi，academician of Chinese Academy of engineering，and Professor Tian Jinzhou，a Yangtze River scholar，are all localized in DongCheng，leading the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
