In 2017，the health service industry in Zhejiang province achieved rapid growth with an output value of 216.9 billion yuan and an industrial added value of 66.5 billion yuan，accounting for 3.65% of the GDP. The carriers of “four one batches” were promoted effectively，including characteristic towns，industrial bases，key enterprises and key projects. Remarkable progress has been made in eight key areas，which are private health service，commercial health insurance，traditional Chinese medicine etc. The health service industry is supported strongly by the pharmaceutical industry，medical equipment manufacturing and other related industries，and new business forms and new products are emerging in an endless stream. It is gradually becoming an important industry supporting the high-quality economic development of Zhejiang province.
