Objective The paper analyzes and summarizes clinical medical subjects ability construction and practice in Wuhan Puren hospital in recent years to find out effective methods of clinical medical subjects ability construction in hospitals and to discuss influence of clinical medical subjects ability construction on service capacity and development in general hospitals. After more than 50 years of development，the hospital has been built a number of high-quality and distinctive key specialties by overall planning and concentrating efforts，which have greatly promoted medical treatment，teaching and scientific research in the hospital.
