The issue of urban village emerged in the process of speedy urbanization in China, it is one of the result of social urbanization's development being on behind of land urbanization. Issues relative to people's livelihood are very commonly existed in the process of urban village renewal , mainly includes that the lawful basis of renewal is not conform to the reality, forceful events become usual, residents of the urban villages are not capable in employment and most of them are not covered by the social insurance system, the financial basis of the urban village can not afford the heavy load of social transformation, etc. To realize a harmonious renewal of both social and land in the urban village, a collaborative mechanism between the people's urbanization and the land urbanization has to be built up, and in the meantime properties should be made clear. Renewal experiences from Tai Wan should be learned. Management for the land collection in name of public interests should be enforced, and more equal standards should be made. To the urban villages not suitable to renewal, social and environment managements should be enforced accordingly. <<
