At present，the economic development of our country has entered a new normal and puts forward new requirements for the development of higher education. Private colleges and universities are an important force in the development of higher education in China. They should actively adapt to the new normal and cultivate applied and innovative talents needed for economic and social development. Taking Huanghe Institute of science and technology as an example，this paper expounds the reform and practice of innovative talents training mode in the background of new normal.
