Contemporary vocational education in Henan has initially formed a framework for secondary vocational education and higher vocational education in nearly 70 years. Secondary vocational education has become a “direct train” and higher vocational education is building an “overpass” with remarkable achievements in development. In a certain sense，both have adapted to the needs of the primary，intermediate and advanced skilled personnel in economic and social development. However，the entrance exam to higher vocational education is still relatively difficult. At the same time，the highest level of vocational education is still limited to junior college level. Since entering a new era，the government，society and schools have been trying to adapt to the change. The framework of contemporary vocational education in Henan is gradually improved.
