China continued to expand its coverage of social insurance in 2018，resulting in an increase in the accumulation of insurances and funds，continuous reduction in social security payment rate，steadily rising level of benefits，as well as more convenient and efficient handling services，and gradual improvement of the multi-level social insurance system. The report reviews the overall development of China’s social insurance in 2018，summarizes the main events and major progress of the reform of social insurance systems，and on this basis，analyses the trend of China’s social insurance system.
