The employment integration between urban and rural areas is an embodiment of the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC in the employment area. At present，China is witnessing year-on-year growth of urban employment，orderly development of rural labor resources，increasing assistance for vocational training，constant improvement of public employment platform service at the grass-roots level，and steady implementation of employment integration between urban and rural areas. However，there still exist some problems，including the marginalization of farmers’ employment，difficulty in implementing skill training policies，and barriers of traditional institutions and social concepts and customs. In response，we should establish a labor statistics system with Chinese characteristics which considers both urban and rural features，build a training system and mechanism for lifelong education，integrate public employment service resources at all levels，balance the interests of urban and rural workers，and promote integration between urban and rural areas.
