Shanghai has made many achievements as a national central city in economic development，innovation development and urban renewal since 2018. Owing to its construction achievements，it plays an important role in driving the coordinated development of the Yangtze River Delta. At the same time，Shanghai is still confronted with important challenges in innovation-driven capability，business environment，ecological resources and environment，city cluster competitiveness，regional coordination efficiency and joint construction of industrial parks. Based on the national strategic requirement for regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta，Shanghai should improve the level of regional integration development in all round manners，accelerate industrial transformation and structural upgrading based on high standards，promote regional interaction and coordinated governance at multiple levels，advance cooperated and joint construction of industrial parks，and take on the responsibility of urban construction in the new era.
