Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the aging rural population in Shandong province，this paper discusses the current situation and predicament of the rural old-age pension model，and puts forward a plan to integrate the development of rural and urban areas，improve the rural old-age pension security system and social assistance system，and encourage the participation of social forces. Carry forward the suggestion of respecting and loving the old traditional culture.
