It is one of the important contents of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s new requirement of “four leading positions” for GuangDong to be in the forefront of the whole country in co-construction，co-governance and sharing of social governance. As the provincial capital and the central city of the country，Guangzhou is duty-bound to take the lead in fulfilling this task. In recent years，with the basic level of Party construction as the focus and system improvement as the key point，Guangzhou has achieved certain results in forming a pluralistic co-construction pattern，opening up a new situation of co-governance，and improving the quality and level of shared services. Of course，there are still some problems that need to be solved urgently and restrict the further improvement of Guangzhou’s social governance level. In this paper，the achievements of social governance in Guangzhou are summarized in detail，and the deficiencies of social governance in Guangzhou are analyzed with reference to advanced cities at home and abroad，and specific countermeasures are put forward.
