Continued advancement of the III （the Integration of Informatization and Industrialization） is a long-term strategic deployment made by the Party Central Committee and State Council in China. It is an inevitable choice to seize the commanding heights of a new round of industrial competition，and to realize the historical leap of China’s industry from big to strong. This paper systematically analyzes the achievements and problems of III in China during the recent ten years by elaborating the background，process，status，current focus，promotion approach and etc. Finally，the development proposals for the next priority work are proposed.
