Kunming was once the first city in the country to cause a “blood shortage” exposed by CCTV，the medical institutions lined up to wait for blood. It was difficult for patients’ families to ask for blood. The gap in clinical use of blood was as high as 30%，and the complaints were from all sides. In the past three years，under the great attention of the Yunnan Provincial Health and Health Commission，the Kunming Municipal Committee and the municipal government，and with the vigorous support of various departments，the Yunnan Kunming Blood Center has focused on “grasping the team，leading the team，changing the style of work，strengthening publicity，and promoting production.” In order to ensure the quality，the Yunnan Kunming Blood Center has paid close attention to the internal management，shape the image of the organization，establish and perfect the examination and incentive mechanism，so there is a speed up of the number of blood donors and the blood collection. The gradual increase has completely reversed the situation of long-term ischemia in Kunming area and effectively ensured the clinical emergency blood use in Kunming medical institutions. The satisfaction rate of medical institutions reached 99.99%.
