This paper analyzes the main difficulties and challenges in the current work of blood collection and supply in yueyang city，and puts forward some Suggestions，such as improving the management mechanism of blood centers，increasing the publicity for the public interest of blood donation without compensation，increasing the training of talents and building the capacity of blood collection and supply，so as to provide reference for the development of the work of blood centers in prefecture-level city in the future.
