This article comprehensively describes the status of blood components preparation of blood institutions in China，and provides a basis for promoting the development of blood component preparation. Through Chinese Society of Blood Transfusion，the Component Preparation Committee issued a blood component preparation questionnaire to the national blood institutions，and combined with literature search，we investigate the current status of blood component preparation in China. By March 2019，a total of 150 feedback forms from blood institutions were received，including 25 blood centers and 125 central blood stations. In the research，the working mode，personnel，equipment，types of blood component，preparation technology，blood discarded，etc. are summarized and analyzed. The problems found in the survey were comprehensively analyzed，and making recommendations for future development. It provides a strong guarantee for the healthy and sustainable development of the blood component preparation industry.
