In recent years，the improvement of medical security level and the continuous growth of medical services in China have put forward higher requirements and challenges for the demand and safety of blood. As a new discipline to be developed，transfusion medicine has faced many problems and difficulties in not onlythe development mechanism of academic education but also the way and content of continuing education. It is an important part of the development of transfusion medicine in China which improves the ability and service level of the practitioners in transfusion industry and trains more high-quality professionals in transfusion medicine. At present，compared with other disciplines in the medical field，transfusion medicine in Chinahas started relatively late. And there are weaknesses existing in all aspects of discipline construction，teaching staff，textbook compilation and educational system structure，restricting the development of transfusion medicine in China to a higher level. This report aims to provide practical suggestions by analyzing the overall situation of transfusion medical education in China，so that a more scientific，standardized，systematic and effective blood transfusion medical education modelcan be proposed to meet the national conditions of China.
