The year of 2018 has witnessed steady growth in the supply of leisure products and leisure visitors to Macao. Its tourism and leisure sector is characterized by the following features：the composition of visitors is still not much desirable；the overall city atmosphere is not leisurely，with huge gaps existing between different localities；the revenue generated falls short of expectation；the Macao SAR government and gaming operators are the dominant suppliers of leisure products，with few initiatives undertaken by micro，small and medium enterprises；and visitor arrivals are expected to increase at an accelerated rate. Macao is advised to continuously implement the projects as specified in the Macao Tourism Industry Development Master Plan，foster the establishment of a market-oriented mechanism，scrutinize the potential risks of over tourism，research and identify the appropriate level of visitor arrivals in light of the objectives of World Tourism and Leisure Center，and proactively contribute to the crafting of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a globally renowned destination.
