As an essential element of national development strategy，implementation of developing Macao into a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure，macroscopically benefits sustainable development of Macao economy and society. After the return to the motherland，spectacular achievements of Development of Macao Tourism and Leisure Industry manifest its superiorities and characteristics and，of course，problems and challenges. As the central city in the Greater Bay area，Macao should seize the opportunity and accomplish something to some extent in the context of the Belt & Road Initiative and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area implementation，also，shares World Centre of Tourism and Leisure with Hengqin for driving implementation of Macao becoming a livable and tourist city，promotes moderate pluralistic development of economy under the support of the central government，and exerts the driving and boosting function of World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.
