In 2018，a good development momentum performed in Henan province. In the aspect of works，good ones of great writers sprout one by one；in the aspect of conventions，the communications were more connected with life；in the aspect of awards，many works gained awards in and out of the province；in the aspect of style and young writers cultivation，highlights appeared continually. While in the meantime，there existed some problems in the development of poetry and prose，which worth us summarizing and thinking deeply. During the 40^th anniversary of our reform and opening up，the circle of poetry and prose of Henan should introspect and perform reform，following closely the steps of the times，understanding General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thinking on literature and art，connecting writing with life，rooting among the people，finding out the orientation of literature development，and writing out the voice of Zhongyuan and China in the construction of the new era with Chinese characteristics.
