Since the initiative of Cultural City，some remarkable results have been achieved，such as the public cultural infrastructure has been upgraded，mass cultural activities have been enriched，urban cultural characteristics have been increasingly prominent，cultural industries have further developed and spiritual civilization has been strengthened. While the following tendencies should also be guarded against in the process of cultural construction：lack of scientificity in the plan of urban cultural development，destroys brought by urban construction to historical and cultural deposits，too much emphasis on hard infrastructure construction while too little attention on cultural construction of soft force. From now on，great effort should be put on the top-level design so as to accurately position the orientation of a city’s cultural development. We will adhere to the concept of innovation to cultivate cultural creative industries，take into consideration of protection and development to continue our historical and cultural deposits and cultivate urban spirit to construct the common value system of the city.
