This article focuses on the history and current situation of drugs in Mexico，covering their cultivation，production，trafficking and distribution. On this basis，it shows the increase in the number of drug users，details the violence and social problems that accompany drugs，and traces the policies of the Mexico government，especially its cooperation with the U.S. on this issue. Finally，it argues that if the social issues such as poverty and inequality cannot be addressed，then the drug problem will continue to plague Mexico.
