Developing science popularization industry together with science popularization career is a new trend and requirement of science popularization development in the New Era. This report analyzed the policy environment and development trend of science popularization industry in China and its important role in promoting science popularization capacity construction，and then，summarized the current problems of science popularization industry development and provided some suggestions to promote the science popularization capacity via science popularization industry development. And，this report also calculated the 2017 development index on national science popularization capacity and attempt to score the provincial science popularization capacity in order to find the gap and shortcomings.
