From 2000 to 2017,the per capita value of all types of people’s livelihood data in Jiangsu’s urban and rural steadily continued to increase. The residents’ income in 2017 was 7.33 times that of 2000,the total consumption was 6.73 times and the amassment was 8.89 times. The proportion of the residents’ immaterial consumption evidently rose over 6.42 percentage points,showing a remarkable upgrading change of the consumption structure. But the residents’ income rate significantly fell from 41.58% to 33.46% and the residents’ consumption rate significantly fell from 30.14% to 22.29%,it rose slightly since the Twelfth Five-Year Plan. The residents’ amassment rate evidently continued to rise from 27.52% to 33.40%,which in return aggravate the inhibition of consumption demand. the inhibition of consumption demand. The regional disparity of the residents’ amassment continued to be reduced,but that of the residents’ income and total consumption continued to be extended;and the urban and rural ratio of the residents’ total consumption continued to be reduced,but that of the residents’ income and amassment continued to be extended. The ranking of the people’s livelihood development index:in the provincial lateral evaluation of ideal value without urban-rural and regional gap,Jiangsu ranked the 5th;in the provincial vertical evaluation of self-base value in 2000,2005,2010 and 2016,Jiangsu ranked the 21st,23rd,26th and 17th respectively.
