“The Immaterial Consumption Index” is the fourth of five second-class subsystems in “The Measuring System of People’s Living Development Index of China”,and it is a important component of oppositely unattached “The Evaluation System of People’s Living Consumption Demand Status of China”. Based on the fiducial value since 2000,the longitudinal measurement shows a largest rise in the immaterial consumption index of The West, followed by The Central Regions,The Northeast and The East, which means some preliminary effects of the national strategy of regional balanced development;Tibet,Guizhou,Qinghai,Yunnan and Henan ranked top five. The lateral measurement based on no-gap ideal value in 2017 shows the gap still exists because of the poor coordination and balance;Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Hunan,Tianjin and Beijing ranked top five. If the countrywide immaterial consumption data should synchronously achieve a minimum ratio of the urban and rural until the bridging of the urban and rural ratio, the status index of people’s living development would be significantly enhanced.
