2015 is the year when the Chinese traditional media news client broke out，and many news clients implemented. The main manifestations are：small download，relatively poor impact，lack of personalized content，poor user viscosity，etc. Based on the analysis of the traditional media news client，this paper believes that the platform can become a new way for the development of traditional media news client. Through the platform practice，the news client will become an information exchange platform，and provide users with differentiated services，which will effectively make up for the above shortcomings.
