Taking the relevant policy documents issued by the State Council and the State General Administration of Sports concerning the national sport industry bases as the starting point，and guided by relevant theories，the “Development Indexes of National Sport Industry Demonstration Bases” are studied and constructed to comprehensively assess the development of each demonstration base. On this basis，we tried to evaluate the 20 demonstration bases with more data in 2017 and obtained the annual development ranking. Through the analysis of the results of the development index，it can be found that government departments at all levels attach great importance to the work of the demonstration base and have formed a relatively perfect support policy system，the demonstration bases’ sport industry aggregation effects become apparent，but the imbalance between the eastern and central regions is still outstanding，the demonstration bases’ sport industry urgently needs to be further bigger and stronger，while the cultivation of benchmark demonstration bases for all-round development needs to be strengthened. Therefore the following targeted countermeasures are put forward：1.Continuously optimize innovative policy tools to achieve accurate policy；2.Continuously optimize the spatial layout to achieve balanced development；3.Further expand and strengthen to achieve leapfrog development；4.Aiming at the demonstration base mainly in sports service industry，strength the supporting force；5.further play the clustering effect and cluster effect of the demonstration base.
