Since the reform and opening-up，China’s family education policies have undergone three developing periods：initial stage，exploratory stage and perfection stage. The main characteristics of this process are the unremitting legislation of policies，the increasing government responsibility and consistently systematic contents. However，in the new era，there are still problems yet to be solved，such as the unsatisfactory fulfillment of family education，unbalanced regional development，and insufficient working mechanisms. Therefore，future family education policies need to insist on the fundamental task of morality education and people cultivation，coordinate social recourses to support family education，advance the legislation pertaining to family education，support the construction of families，encourage relevant researches，and accelerate the development of specialization and socialization of family education.
