校外生活是儿童生活的重要组成部分,校外生活安排的科学性和合理性,对儿童的德智体美劳全面发展起着至关重要的作用。本文采用自编《校外生活时间利用表》考察了幼儿园、小学、初中阶段儿童在上学日和周末的校外时间利用状况、特征及其与儿童发展的关系。结果发现:(1)上学日,虽然学校作业占据了儿童最多的校外时间,但休闲、娱乐时间也得到保证,主要方式包括自己玩耍、去小区露天场所等公共场所、进行体育锻炼。周末,外出游玩时间居于首位,与做作业时长持平。无论是上学日还是周末,使用电子产品的时长都不容小觑。(2)不同学段、性别、城乡、家庭年收入、家长外出务工、家长教育观念下的儿童在校外时间利用上呈现不同特征。(3)儿童身体发展、创造性、社交技能、抗逆力等指标受到儿童校外时间利用状况的影响。根据上述结果,就提高儿童校外生活质量提出具体建议。
<<Out-of-school life is a vital part of a kid’s life. And a reasonable organization of children’s out-of-school life plays an important role in the comprehensive development of their morality,knowledge,physical strength,aesthetic standard and labor skills. This paper adopts the self-compiled Out-of-school Life Time Usage Table to investigate on children’s time usage and its relation with their development at different periods in kindergarten,primary school and junior middle school. It has three discoveries:First,homework takes up much of students’ out-of-school time on weekdays,but they still have leisure time to play or do sports;while on weekends,outdoor activities almost take the same amount of time as doing homework. However,electronic devices now take up increasingly more time. Second,there are different characteristics of out-of-school time usage considering children’s gender,stage of schooling,annual family income,parent’s ideas towards education,and their urban or rural identities. Third,there is a significant correlation between children’s out-of-school time usage and their physical development,creativity,social skills,and resilience. Therefore,the paper gives some concrete recommendations to improve the quality of children’s out-of-school life.
