Yearbooks on developments in individual countries，regions and in global governance are the most outward-looking of the six Pishu sub-categories. The development of these world-oriented yearbooks went through three stages：trial and error in 1998-2010，rapid development between 2011 and 2015，and maturity since 2016. Between 1998 and 2018，a total of 373 titles in 72 sub-series were published on individual countries，regions and global governance. This chapter takes stock of these publications，offering basic statistics on them and analysis of their overall impact. Four areas are identified as being especially important to improving them. They are：topic selection and issue conceptualization，innovation in research and compilation，use of data and facilitating dialogue and collaboration among scholars from different countries.
