The findings of the survey suggest that in poor areas of western China nearly 13% of students and teachers in primary and secondary schools have low level of mental health, 17.6% of adolescents and 24.5% of teachers feel depression, and 8.4% of young people have thought about suicide. It is recommended to strengthen the intervention and counseling of mental health for students and teachers of primary and secondary schools in poor areas of western, to promote their physical and mental health.
