In last two years，the municipal Party committee in Guangzhou spared no effort in studying and implementing the important speech and indicating spirit by General Secretary Xi Jinpin，on coping with the problem of ageing. By advancing as a whole the reforming experimental units for elderly care both at home and in communi-ty funded by central budget，the committee attaches importance to promote the quali-ty of elderly’s living and life，to vigorously promote the reform of subsidiary meal and catering for the elderly which has been an obvious achievement，earning the high comment from the elderly and all walks of life in Guangzhou. This reform adheres to the people-centered developmental thought，focusing on and advancing the concerns，expectation from people. The reform，which is the positive norm for other cities，also fosters the sense of gain to people.
